The Editorial Board collects articles for publication and sends them double-blind to 2-4 referees.
However, the Board reserves the right to make any preliminary selection and may, in accordance with the objectives of the journal, accept or reject some articles without consulting first the referees.
The articles are sent to the anonymous referees by email attachment after removing all possible references to the authors’ names (including works cited in the bibliography). The Board will also check that the authors’ names are not present in the hidden properties of the file so as to shield the identity of the author from referees as far as is possible.
The Editorial Guidelines state that authors should assist the work of the Editorial Board to that effect, specifying (or color highlighting) which parts of the article might reveal their identity, so that they can be deleted from the file that is sent to referees, while the original integral file is conserved by the Editorial Board to be used in the case of eventual publication.
